Peanut and
Butter were my buddies for 16 years. We have been
through a lot together
They were the
runts of the litter when I got them, they were free at
an appliance store and sitting in an empty refrigerator
box! They were identical in color, one boy and one
girl.
I was told to
only get one, but the look on their faces made me melt
and the two came home with me that night.
There names
always brought a smile to others faces, especially at
the vet when they called for "Peanut and Butter."
The two were
inseparable, cleaning each other, cuddling, and sleeping
on the bed.

When my kids
came along five years later they were a little
leery...considering they were the king and queen of the
house. It took time for the cats to adjust, and
after a few hisses and swats of a paw they became
friends with the kids. But, of course always
letting them know who was boss!
Peanut loved
the outside, sometimes gone for days, returning a little
dirty, a little worn out, and looking like he had a
secret. He would take a good long nap after
returning.
Butter, on
the other hand was more reserved, did NOT want to go
outside ever. She was more content staying inside,
hiding under the bed and coming out at night to get into
mischief.
As they grew
old , they grew slower, but still had a spark in their
eye. They grew sick and were put down together.
They were born together and passed away together.
In my heart forever...
Love, Mommy, Alex, Alyssa
